Join us for Part 1 of a three part professional development workshop series. This workshop is for anyone who interacts with pregnant women in their clinical practice: osteopathic practitioners, massage therapists, midwives, doulas and others!
This 4 hour online workshop will explore relevant concepts and considerations for the Pregnant Mom. You will learn techniques to engage both the Pregnant Mom and Birth Partner in the wonders of this experience.
Using current research in the biological fields, alternatives to traditionally taught concepts including conception and fetal development are offered for each stage of the pregnancy.
Pertinent history questions will be reviewed along with an approach to the evaluation of the Pregnant Mom.
Book suggestions, recommended websites and YouTube videos will be provided. A handbook of the demonstrated exercises and other resources is included.
The summation of this workshop will offer your clients the best potential for an empowered birthing experience.
This self-paced workshop can be completed at your leisure, and is the prerequisite for Part 2 where we will be focusing on the concepts and considerations for the Newborn Babe. Part 3 will be an experiential workshop amalgamating these concepts while we explore the hands-on treatment of Pregnant Moms and Newborns.
In the Pregnant Mom Workshop, Teara shares her next-level perspective through experiential wisdom and evidence based practices. Even though the pdf download alone is worth the price of admission, it is in the videos that Teara’s transformational perspective shines through. The best part is how actionable the information is: from exercises to encourage optimal fetal positioning to guidance for fathers to support moms during labour, Teara packs in a lot of tips and tricks. This workshop is a real treat for any practitioner - or individual - who wants to update their knowledge base and gain valuable tools to improve health outcomes for Mom and babe.
I enjoyed how you clearly laid out what information is helpful for patients to know, and WHY it is helpful for us to know things. I loved the ovulation and conception sections, it's a perspective that you don't see very often and it's amazing to see the zinc flash! The information is directly applicable to questions I often get in the clinic and it strengthens my knowledge base to answer confidently. Thanks for putting this together, it is a really helpful resource that I'm excited to have and be able to reference the very thorough handout as I need "topping" up and reminding of it all.
Part 2 of this three part professional development workshop series will focus on the newborn.
You will learn strategies to offer parents for the care and nurturing of their new arrival.
History questions will be reviewed along with an approach to the evaluation of the newborn.
A handout with references and useful resources will be provided.
This workshop is the pre-requisite for Part 3 which is an experiential workshop amalgamating the concepts from Part 1 and 2 during the exploration of the hands-on treatment of pregnant moms and newborn babes.
This two-day experiential osteopathic workshop focuses on the evaluation and treatment of
pregnant moms and newborns.
